PERIO PEOPLE AAP members in key leadership positions within organized dentistry The Academy would like to recognize its members who dedicate their time and expertise to advancing the specialty of periodontics through participation in organized dentistry. In the coming year, the Academy asks members in these key positions to not only represent the concerns of their constituency, but also consider whether the issues addressed have an impact on the profession of periodontics. AAP members participate by serving on American Dental Association (ADA) councils and commissions, and as elected officials in constituent dental organizations. The ADA councils and commissions and the constituent dental societies serve as incubators for ADA policies impacting all members of the ADA, including dental specialties. In addition, these organizations often cultivate and produce future ADA leaders. The Academy extends its congratulations and appreciation to our members who serve within organized dentistry. We wish you a successful and rewarding year of service. We hope all Academy members will take a moment to express their gratitude to the members listed below for their commitment and efforts on behalf of organized dentistry.
