Shape Your Future by Participating in Fall Summit 2016

NIA is gearing up for our popular, growing members-only event, Fall Summit 2016, which presents a convenient and affordable opportunity to put NIA President Steve Luse’s yearlong theme of “Participation Shapes Our Future” into action. All members should plan to join their NIA colleagues at Fall Summit, which is taking place at the Hilton Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC, November 2–3, 2016.

Designed to Educate, Engage, and Elevate, NIA’s Fall Summit 2016 includes:

• Eight committee meetings with 6 meetings open to all members, and 4 that are forum-style meetings with industry-specific speakers (see “Fall Summit Schedule of Events” for details);

• Luncheon and Keynote Speaker on Wednesday (details coming soon);

• Networking Reception with Political Strategist Speaker Matt Keelen on Wednesday evening; and

• General Session and Breakfast with Website Strategist Speaker Joanna Pineda on Thursday.

NIA’s Fall Summit offers members:

• Convenience—All events take place in 1 location just minutes from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), with shuttle service provided.

• Flexibility—Minimizing members’ time out of the officce is a priority, and all Committee meetings will take place on Wednesday with a closing General Session and Breakfast Speaker on Thursday.

• Value—15 hours of education, 2 breakfasts, 1 luncheon, and 1 networking reception are included in the affordable registration rate. Additional multiple-registrant discounts are available (see page 6).

Educational Sessions

The educational components of this year’s Fall Summit are designed to address current business topics that provide actionable content that companies can implement immediately, including:

• Keynote and Luncheon Presentation—The Luncheon Keynote Speaker offers attendees a unique perspective on important topics for the mechanical insulation industry. This session has been extended this year and more details will be available soon.

• Presidential Election and Legislative Update—At Wednesday evening’s reception with fellow NIA members, hear the inside scoop on the presidential election and legislative initiatives from Matt Keelen, Founder and President of the Keelen Group in Washington, DC.

• Web Strategies for Your Business—At Thursday morning’s General Session and Breakfast, join Matrix Group International CEO Joanna Pineda as she shares her unique insights on building and securing your company’s online presence. Having worked with NIA for more than a decade, Ms. Pineda brings her understanding of our industry, small business expertise, and vast Internet experience to this important topic for all attendees.

New speakers and educational session details are being added to the schedule on a regular basis, and the best place to get the latest updates is the Fall Summit page on NIA’s website: www.insulation.org/fallsummit/2016.

It was really good for me to get my first taste of a NIA event at last year’s Fall Summit. Being rather new to this industry, I have a lot to learn and experience. I met a lot of new people and heard about their experiences from all parts of the industry, and it was a learning tool for me that helps me be better at my job. By attending NIA events like Fall Summit, you help educate yourself and gain experiences and knowledge to better your own company, no matter whether you are an employee or a business owner.
