NIA recently held our spring Insulation Energy Appraisal Program (IEAP) training course in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, May 18–19. This popular course teaches students the necessary information to give facility and energy managers a better understanding of the true dollar and performance value of their insulated system. The course was recently updated to include additional content on:
• Conducting energy audits;
• Utilizing infrared cameras;
• Understanding steam effciencies; and
• Applying more real-world application examples and practices relating to the 3E Plus® insulation thickness calculation software.
Students who attend the course and pass the exam become Certified Insulation Energy appraisers, a certification that is valid for 3 years. NIA hosts 2 IEAP training courses each year, in the spring and the fall, and more information will be available soon about the fall course. To be notified of the fall course dates and location, or for in-house training options, email training@insulation.org. Visit www.insulation.org/training/ieap/ for more information.
